Is it a bad idea to plug i trailer tire?

Trailer tires see a lot more lateral load forces when they scrub around turns, but I would guess it's fine. If it were me, I'd plug it and then keep it as my spare.

I've run a plug in one before. Seemed to hold up fine.

run it till you can afford to replace it. I personally would like to have decent tires on my crap, specially if im trailing my rig on it.

yeah i lucked out and it was the stem. the more i thought about it i was going to plug it and keep it as a spare.

shit I went to KOH in CA and back on one. you'll be good. we only did like 85 the whole way with an over loaded trailer.

we have got trailer tires at work with 2 or 3 plugs in each tire ....
the truck we tow the trailer with (10k gvw) has got at least one plug in each of the 6 tires .... some have got 2 or 3 in them ....
every once and a while you get one that starts to leak a bit but i have never had one blow out
sheet metal scraps and sheet metal screws are tough on tires

work trailer,,, not personal trailer with personal items on trailer.
