I'll be bringing the deep fryer, and if anyone here wants to indulge, feel free. Menu will be fried chicken, hot wings and onion rings. Myself, skylar, travis and a few other MJRers will be in the volunteer camping area, so drop buy and have a beer or 9.

And of course, if any of you guys competing need a hand with anything, feel free to ask. Damn this is going to be a good time.

I just got off the phone with Miller he said he's ready to rock! I've been helping him the past few weekends getting it ready(as well as wrenching on mine). I start my new job this week and don't think I'm going to be able to get this Friday off, but I'll be up Friday night to party and wheel the weekend. Westin Blackie already backed out of the race! Good luck Doug and Lou. I hope you guys and T n R motorsports all make it into the top ten, so that next Feb we can party at the big show!_Jake

Whew! Just got back into town. What a race!! The Appalachian crew, JR, myself, and a few others got down to Jotter's for the first lap of the race and all I can say is it was CRAZY!!!! There were no less than 12 rigs fighting it out to get up that hill at the same time. Huge bottleneck with some 400+ hp motors bouncing off the rev-limiter is an amazing site to see! I heard through the grapevine that at one point Doug had lost a wheel and was picking the buggy up himself and stacking rocks under it to get it back on

Congrats to everyone who entered the event and gave it hell! I had a blast!

Jim exploded three connecting rods cresting the left side of Jotters on Lap 2 (Oil pan was like swiss cheese)

Eugene had trouble with brakes, cooling, gravity, tires, rear dif, etc, etc. He had a guy back onto his hood first thing on Jotters and crush his distributor. He really worked hard to keep moving all day long and had nearly as much carnage as the rest of the field combine.

The rigs there were unreal cool to see how different everybody builds stuff. Dougs rig is wicked!

Heres a pic I took from the top of Jotter's just as the craziness began:

Brett, here's a pic of your buddy's buggy just as the motor let loose. He was the ONLY guy we saw all day climb the left side unassisted. He had it wound up pretty good and just as the front tires crested the top the motor blew. He was so cool about it too. He said something like "Yeah, I knew she was gonna let go at some point, I guess here's as good of place as any" or something like that.

Just got home. That race was insane! Nick & I were on Jotters and it was definitely a war zone! Every man (& woman) for themselves! Horespower and wheel speed was key.

Hats off to all the competitors whether they finished or not. It takes some guts to run that race!

Was a crazy good day yesterday!! Unbelievable action on the first lap. Some crazy nice high dollar, high horsepower rigs there. Was quite a site to see in PA. I think the East Coast Terrain really opened some peoples eyes!!

He had a bad rod knock just before that in the pit. I told him all week. Take it easy, just finish, the average speed only works out to like 10 MPH. But, no no Jim had to go out in a blaze of glory. I'll get the pic to him. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

The funniest thing is that out of the 4 Rose Crawlers Eugene was the only one still running at the end of the day. He was way to shy to point that out. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dan1:

That was the most grueling and fun day I've had in a long time. I'm going to build something or catcha right seat next year.

I'll let Happick and Pearson tell their tales. Twas quite the bummer.

Dougie just cooked. After the wheel incident, he just flat out made up time. I hope he was running his GPS to see what his top speed was. It had to be 80 or so. That truck is just a blur when he goes by.

I think the winner of the race was Jotter's Way.

Hit up JR for some pics too. My pic was close, but JR literally took a pic right as the motor let loose. He has a couple more of him climbing the hill too. I think he put on one of the best shows of the day!

I have some videos of doug from where I was posted at the high speed section. 80 is an understatement, that man has a screw loose

His final 3 laps were unreal.

Internets are slow tonight, but vids are uploading.

Here is Doug and Lou on the first lap, note the speed:

great vids. that first lap right before that part Lou was able to get in front of me when Greenwalt plugged up the big hillclimb and I tried another route and missed the top by about a foot and I had to back down really fast. I got behind Lou and couldnt see anything and was getting plastered by rocks and mud and had to back off.

The last couple of laps I was very very pissed off and wanted to qualify. I wish there was vid of the hole shot down by the old office on the last lap and the resulting climb up jotters when I knew I had to pass 2 rigs to get into the top 10. I remember Bosely standing next to the road and putting my foot into it very very hard.

Much thanks to all my guys that came out and did everything for me. Bosely, Johnny, Clint, Tony much thanks. Big thanks to Kack and Jrodd for being there way early and Ickes for keeping that support to me. I have a crew that cannot be beat. We'll work all the bugs out one way or another. Our shit is very fast and sooner or later we will catch a break and it'll be our day to be in the winners circle and I'll remember how it happened, no doubt.

I'd be way remissed if I didnt say something about my wife yelling to me, spotting me, pulling cable and basically telling me to get my ass and gear and qualify so we could go to CA. Love ya babe.

I hope everyone checked their lugnuts.....I pretty much went car to car trying to find something to fit doug's rig. Actually it was just my ram, aj's rig, and the trailer. Nothing fit.

You have plenty of time to work the kinks out for KOH 2010... I do think things would have been very different had you keep your wheel on...

looking back over the past year and taking a look at every comp that I have had issues with and every single one was something that I could pretty much control. every race something very little has taken me out.

I vow for that to stop right now. tired of excuses and busting my ass and having shit not go my way. the rest of the year and 2010 will be very very different for that I will promise.

Nice Pic.

He's building a better LT1. I'll get some pics of what's in his oil pan. I'd really like to see video.

I had Bunny and Kat's batteries on the charger for over 18 hours and they were still drawing 3 amps.

Hours of video from the event. Mostly Jotters and Trail 5 hill climb. They are mostly loaded in backwards order, not my fault. Had to break the videos down to below 100 MB in order to do the upload.
