Let me start by saying I suck at electrical.
I have a toggle switch, green light and a push button. All of which have 2 prongs on the back. I also have a pinkish wire labeled as "ignition" and a purple wire. The purple wire I can touch to a battery and the starter engages. Can anybody tell me what I need to connect to what or draw a diagram?
Thanks
The purple wire goes to one prong on the switch, the other prong should be a 12volt battery power at all times. I would see if the Pink wire has voltage all the time, if it does use that to the other prong.

I would guess that the pink wire needs key-on voltage. I would run 12v from the battery to one terminal on the switch or button, whichever you want to use for the starter. You could run that 12v from a key-on source, if you didn't want the starter to engage without the key in the "on" position. I would connect the purple to the other terminal of the switch/button. By light, I assume you mean a small LED or something like that. You would use that in line on the purple wire, if you wanted the light to light when the engine was cranking.

ok so it should be constant power to the toggle to create a on/keyed power. Then from the toggle to the push button. The push button goes to the light and from the light to cranking power?
i guess once I check the pink wire it might connect to the toggle so it gets "ON" power.

Is the buggy in Glen Burnie? Give me a call; I might be able to stop by to help wire it up. I had a push button stater in my old truck that was cake to wire.
Stupid question but you're running a starter relay, right?
