Hi all,
I posted this up in the Newbee thread, but figured ill try for more exposure. Checking in here from Mid-MD. I’ve heard about the site/ group from a co-worker and wanted to see what it is all about. I currently drive an 02’ Tundra AC with minor modifications as of now, but have hopes of starting - completing an SAS setup within the year. Looking forward to chatting with yawl and hopefully catching a few local meets and trail rides:cheers:
BTW is there any SAS Tundras on this site?

Welcome! I don't believe we have anyone else on the board that wheels a tundra.

I guess i will stand out then lol! Even on the Tundra forums there are not many that use thier trucks for any major wheeling. Do you guys put together many trail rides on this site?

I've wheeled with a Tundra before up at Rausch Creek. We also have at least 1 or 2 members that use Tundras to tow their offroad vehicle to the trails.
A lot of the club members wheel a good amount, there is normally a group going out once a month in the summer at least. Unfortuantly, I haven't seen many organized rides pop up for less built vehicles and a lot of our current members have trucks that are built for the most extreme trails so we are normally riding "hardcore".
We have a big event the weekend of August 15th "Camp Heep V" where we get together with 2 other local clubs for guided trail rides of all levels. This would probably be your best chance to come check out what we are all about as there will be lower level groups headed out that weekend and we all meet back up to party after the trailriding is over.

I don’t mind starting at the bottom and working my way up. Hopefully with the right connections and knowhow I will have my truck done by next year and I can join yawl on the more advance trails. For now I am just trying to take in as much in as possible. There is a group of guys off another site im on that go to Rausch Creek, but only once a year, I’m looking to go more frequent for im trying to gain more trail experience.

Make sure you check out www.bigdogsoffroad.com They put on some the best 4wd events and they are only a few hours away. At any Big Dogs you normally find at least 10 maryland creepers. The good thing about Big Dogs is the rides are guided so you can just figure out where we are camping and come hang out/camp and you can also sign up for trail rides that are appropriate for your truck with knowledgable guides that can help you learn the ropes of wheeling.
Aside from the wheeling Big Dogs is held at a beautifull campground with lots of amenities, great scenery, and some great times to be had.

Is this with the "Topless for Tatas" ride that a southern maryland club is doing?

Thank you. Are you on stock suspension also? I'm on the fence about doing a set of 3" coil-overs to hold me until next year, plus it would be nice to have a little more ground clearance:)

Thank you for all your input. This place looks like lots of fun! I will have to make my way out there sooner than later.

No. They have a separate even from ours.
