Maybe not a tech question but, I was just told that pontiac sunfire seats will bolt right up to YJ seat mounts. Anyone done or heard this? The seats look comfortable compared to what I have now.

I had looked into doing it but changed my mind. I was using this info as a guide:
http://www.jeepforum.com/wiki/index.php/CJ/YJ_Seat_swaps
After looking around for reasonably priced seats for my YJ, I ended up with these:

I have PRPs in my trail rig and I love them, but my YJ is not something I want to dump a lot of money into. I went with something less expensive but still quality and comfortable. Not as comfortable as PRP, but much more comfortable than the worn out stockers and cheapo Rugged Ridge(aka Smittybilt) replacements I had before.

Got a set of these http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=775557 for the buggy I'm working on, about 280 shipped for a pair. I think he sells jeep brackets too.
Comfy and good quality. Only complaint is the 5th belt hole is only usable if you like nut hugging anal floss, way too close to the back of the seat unless you are a slutty 90lb chick.

Love to but money is a factor right now. Need to do something with my seats now. They are ripped and missing some foam. I can get a set of sunfire convertable seats for $50.

I just ordered those suspension seats last week ... should be here any day now. Whenever I get them in I'll have my stock TJ seats available if you want them ... only problem is I have to use the stock seat brackets/risers, so it'd be just the seats.
