installing a tj sound bar in a yj

I got a tj sound bar , it will mount in my yj fine , but it has 2 wiring harness's , and im not sure of the wiring color code on the sound bar , it has the light in it and i'd really like to hook that up into my yj but im not to sure how , i have a after market radio in my yj and i can hook the speakers to the sound bar to that if i find out the color codes of the sound bar , but i'd like to tie the dome light on the sound bar into the driimer/ switch that makes the light in my hard top come on , thanks

not sure , the sound bar is used , it has 2 plugs , i can look and give you the wire color codes tonight if you want , but im not really sure i will check for a name ect on the sound bar tonight

If it's one big pod, I'm pretty sure it's from an earlier TJ. The later models had two seperate pods.

Frosty , im going to look at it tonight , i will let you know though , i printed out the first 2 links and will take them home to check out the sound bar ect, thanks for the help

No problem. I should have connector pinouts for either sound bar style although I dont know if the wire coloring in the same between the years. It might be close enough to give you a start.

heres what i found , the sound bar had alot of electrical tape and had been cut and wired to a different harness , so i removed the sound bar cover and checked the wires , it ended up having 6 wires , one red , one yellow 2 blue w/ different color strips ans 2 brown w/ different colored stripes , so i found out the blue wires and brown ones are speaker wires , the yrllow and red im going to tap into the same colored wires that run to the back plug to plug my hard top in with because that has a working dome light , so if the weather works with me im hoping to have the hard top off and my new safari top on tonight or tomorrow , then i can wire this thing up .
