Any reason my vent/roll over valve wont actually vent the cell? It will dump gas all over the place when its full and you get off camber. But it sucks a big one on just venting air.

I noticed yesterday the cell appeared swollen. I removed the fill cap and it shot in the air. Blasted some air down the vent line and I know the ball valve isnt stuck.

I could see if the pressure built up all of a sudden and shot the roll over/vent closed but slow build up should bleed off right?

How is your vent hose routed? I'm assuming there's no chance it was kinked?

Plastic cells all deform from what I've seen. Mine is well vented and it is always looking caved in. Weird you actually had pressure built up though. So was it pressurized or vacuum?

I pulled the cage yesterday and moved the vent line so I guess thats a possibility. Although I could have swore that I made sure it wasnt. I'll double check.

Its aluminum so it shouldnt cave in or deform much. It was certainly pressurized. The cap flew up a good distance and I lucked out that I wasnt looking directly over it at the time.

I left the fill cap lose for now and tarped the jeep until I can get the new cage in but I'll peak through the wheel well for a kinked vent line.

Well just call me the new Dan. :flipoff2: At least I didnt start a tech thread about it I guess.

At a normal glance the vent line wasnt kinked. But looking up through the wheel well clearly showed it was pinched right at the fitting. Something I couldnt see I guess due to the braiding on the line.

Speaking of which, that is a line I borrowed you Happick. I meant to get it back to you sooner but sort of forgot. I've got new line I am going to run so I'll yank it off. I can drop it off at AOI if you want it back to throw in the spare parts bag.

I didn't want to undermine your intelligence with that suggestion but normally ensuring the vent line is able to vent is the best place to start :flipoff2:

Do you have a spare parts bag you can throw it in till we cross paths at an event? I'm not sure when I will be out towards AOI next and I've got several more pieces so I'm not in a hurry to get it back.

I can toss it in my tool bag that I bring in the Jeep.
