camp 6 was dead. what a shame. hardly any creepers showed up. however minus the no shows, it was fun. bugs ate us alive, rippy's legs looked like he had the herp. either way, here's one of the vids i managed to upload

I'm gonna start my post by saying, Paige is fucking awesome. She never pulled a trailer before this weekend, EVER. I am in Berkeley Springs, WV right now for my rotation, so I wasn't home to drive the rig down like I normally would. Jared got the trailer hooked up and the rig loaded and Paige picked it up from him Friday afternoon. She drove the trailer down to Big Dogs and met me there. And then today she drove the truck and trailer home again. I'm damn proud of her!
That said, I had an awesome time. Definitely have a few bugs that need to get worked out on the new truck, but overall it kicked ass! PQ, Alan, Rippy and I walked Insanity. It was completely awesome.
The new truck needs a new gas tank (the one in it now has a tiny leak at the seam). The steering also needs overhauled, I'm not sure if it just needs the pump rebuilt and the fittings sealed up or what, but it's got a lot wrong with it right now, it's leaking at most of the fittings and the pump is getting starved for fluid because of that. When I pulled it on the trailer today, I basically had manual steering, I couldn't hardly turn to wheels on the wooden trailer deck...
Other then those two issues though, I just want to go through the truck and do maintenance stuff, replace the motor mount and transfer case mount bushings, leaf spring bushings.

You better watch out Numi, Ethan is slick with the ladies. He will have Paige in the sack before you know it. :) His dad must of taught him well, oh wait a minute, that's Rippy. What the?!

When we were up at the bonfire, Paige and Ethan were bitching that they wanted to sit down, so we told them to go back to camp and get our camp chairs and come back. We're pretty sure Paige gave Ethan a pity handy on the ride :lol:

What a great weekend of wheeling with friends! Ethan & I arrived Thursday afternoon to a fairly empty Camp 6. Friday morning we made the driver’s meeting and hooked up with Jared, his dad, Rob & Ann (PQ), all people I had wheeled with last year at Rock Run. Our first trail was ET, which Ethan drove the entire way, including walking up pancake rock like is was nothing. We then headed down an unknown trail and up Pennsyltukian, down Corum and over to KGB. KGB has really been torn up, but I made it up with very little trouble. By then it was 4, so we headed back to camp and showers. When we returned, we were greeted by Shane and Numi at camp and shortly thereafter, Paige arrived. We did our best to party “Creepers Style” but I think even Ethan was a little disappointed in our ability and all were in bed by midnight.
Saturday morning Alan arrived and was shocked to see ALL of us ready and willing to attend the driver’s meeting. We linked up with the same group I wheeled with on Friday and headed straight for insanity. Rob and Jared had some difficulty, but PQ, Alan, Numi and I all sailed thru as if it was nothing. From there we went up to Bunny to watch for a bit (awesome video Shane!). After that, we thru in the towel, decided it was too hot to wheel and headed for the “golden shores of Gore” and a soak in the lake (best decision of the weekend!). Saturday night brought Chesapeake Sausages & Boh Brats, sangria, Jager, shine and a trip to the bonfire. I tried to keep an eye on Ethan all weekend, but I think at some point that evening he sampled all of the previously mentioned libations and was asked by a couple of young ladies (much, much older than him) if he would join them in the moon bounce!
Sunday started a little slower, but eventually we headed out and hit XTC (or was it the Creepers trail?), followed by Cobra and Trickle. All were easily traversed by our group, with Ethan and me sharing driving duties.
Another great Big Dogs event spent with our normal core group. Thanks to all for making sure Ethan’s first time was memorable.

Oh and I forgot to mention... I lost my driver door window to a tree trunk Sunday afternoon :-( the window was rolled down in the door, but the tree pushed the sheet metal in just a bit too far LOL
So if anyone has a spare door they want to hook me up with, let me know... I've got a nice door without a window to trade LOL

Our group was really small this time. But, we still had a blast. Covered a lot of ground on Friday and Saturday since every trail wasn't a parking lot. We hit Pucker, V trail, ET, Pennsyltuckian, Cobra, Coram, Hard Rock Crawlers, Death Valley, Boulder, and Insanity. I trashed my front driveshaft at the end of Insanity on Sunday morning, so I didn't end up going up to Bunny to watch. Just headed back down the hill.
It was great to meet some of you Friday night. Did anybody get pictures of the Dog Pile? That was the first time my truck was in there. Lots of fun.

Sounds like you guys had some good wheeling without too many issues. Sorry I missed it, you guys should check out the next Line Mountain Race on July 19th. There are hundreds of people up there and we partied till 4am on Saturday. Happening good time kind of similar to big dogs.

None of us figured he'd get it started. When he did, we were all too shocked to stop him from taking off with it. Definitely funniest moment of the weekend!
