What is a fair price for a Hardtop? I'll need something to fit an TJ 06.
Are all TJ's the same? Will an 98 fit an 06 without any modding?

Used to seeing them in the $500 range out there.
All TJ tops will swap, but there are some differences.
'97-02 will be fiberglass and have vents in the back corners
03+ are some sort of plastic, with no vents.
an 06 doesn't have any issue using either 'cause you have a vent in your tailgate. putting an 03+ top on an 02- TJ might cause some oddness driving with the windows open and shutting the doors with the windows up.
I'm not 100% sure on the connectors for the wiper/defrost if you have/want them though. They might be different.

Plastic? Never heard that before.

It's true, they are molded or something. The issue I have with mine is having the back window "pop out" so it's not sealed tight when my wife or daughters slam the doors shut. Would be nice if there was more than a 4~5" piece in the middle that's supposed to keep it shut. I've tried to adjust the glass to no avail. Another '05 TJ that I test drove before buying mine did the same thing. I doesn't leak or anything, just annoying when going down the road having that buffeting noise.

Summertime you may get one for $500
Wintertime you may pay between $700-$1000
