Well I did some need work on the TB yesterday. I replaced a bad fan clutch and got rid of the turbo prop sound. I also have had a cracked exhaust manifold for the past several months that I've finally got around to working on (both of these problems are well known in the TB and ENVOY forums but can't complain 140 on the odo). I was able to remove all the manifold bolts with out snapping any(common problem) the only bolts I have left are the 3 on the down pipe that connect the CAT and I need a 2 foot 1/2in extension to get to them, I have 1/2in elc wrench and will try getting it with that. I tried a 3/8 wrench but it ain't doing crap for turning the bolts. I sprayed PB all over and letting them soak.

Dang, what size are the bolts, 3/4" ratchet for an exhaust flange
I'm guessing the bolts are going to break so I'd have replacements ready to go.

sorry fixed it.
Wish I had the extra cash to spend I would buy some pipes for this 6cyl.
BTW on 02 replacement do you put anything on the threads?

If you own a TBlazer expect the following two items to fail.
Simple search on the internet will turn up pissed off folks as GM
will not fess up the manifold is design flaw...the cracks on the same
port on all the pics I seen online. The photo on the far right is the new fan clutch assy.
So far I figured I am saving about 1,000 doing both jobs myself compared to folks
online quoting their cost. They said the repair in and out for both items runs $600-700.

I had to do a water pump on a 2006, not fun.. Those fans are not easy to get out.......
Not looking forward to doing an exhaust manifold.....

I do alot of radiators, water pumps and altenators on those. I dont think I've seen 1 with a crack manifold yet though.
