I have a JIm's Performance TPI unit on a slightly modified 383 block.
Here are the problems I can't solve and am looking for a shop that might have the knowledge to help sort things out.
It lopes from 750-900 rpm
when warmed up after you run down the highway and let off on the gas it will backfire once or twice and then when you come to a stop and step on the gas it stalls out
when warm it won't start unless you bypass the timing to the distributor, recently it is getting worse so soon it might not start at all.

Hmm, have you called Jim's yet to see if he has any suggestions with where to start?

Give Jim a call. He was a great help in getting our 4.3 set up.

Sounds like timing problems, Mark.

I can get you in touch with a local Mennonite guy who works on my old TBI Cadillac if you like

Call Jims. Make sure you have your cam specs when you call. Been there.:dan1:
