I guess that spot has worked pretty well for us the last year or two? Is there anywhere better we could claim or is everyone happy with that corner?

That corner is the best. You can see the entire rest of the campsite and if it rains you'll be up out of the standing water LOL

I agree with Numi, this location seems to fit our needs very well and you can get a nice echo at 4am (I think Jack has audio). Will it be okay for the motorhome? I guess we'll find out. :D

Yea that spot should be pretty easy for the motorhome so I won't complain. There is a really tight turn into where I store the RV/trailer with a transformer box that is the object to avoid. After I brought the RV back there the first time BG&E installed a big concrete pole to protect it, I guess my tire tracks were a little to close to the box for their liking. I was figuring all along I would have to unhook in the main drive and put the trailer back there with the truck.

When I got back home last weekend Morgan spotted me and I cleared the corner with the trailer hooked up and all. When I got out I was in disbelief that I was able to make the turn given how long the setup is.

You can park in the mud pit.:flipoff2:
Camp 6 is about as wide open as you get for parking your setup. If you get there early enough you can set your truck up pointed toward the exit.

Like I just told Rippey in a PM, I'm not going to make it. Just found out the transmission in the Wife's Suby took a dump, so I'll be playing import mechanic this weekend. This also means the YJ loses its spot on the lift until I get this squared away. If its not one thing, its another.

I don't know the rest of your build, but don't let an open front end scare you away from running the harder stuff. I went up with Shane and a bunch of the RightCoast4x4 guys and we ran Pennsyltuckian, ET, and Insanity. We ran other trails but those are the ones I remember by name, and they're all rated higher than a 7. I took the "easy" line on Insanity if you even can call it that and made it through with no winching or a tug from anyone. I could care less about body damage and the only trail I really got any on was Insanity. I wouldn't have if I would of just listened to my spotter.

No damage..almost slid 3x in to trees on Sunday.
Had a great time meeting lots of people on the trails and at camp.
Best run on Saturday was going up "Trickle" and Sunday after it rained made it like a slip and slide going down "Snake". Almost backed out of "Loop 10" it was a pucker factor for being open-open. Hitting it full throttle up two hills full of mud ruts and was trowing rooster tails, the other folks loved watching me get it on the hills...lots of fun.

I had a good time, the RV is freaking awesome for camping. I tried to take it easy with the buggy since the first RCROCS competition is this coming Saturday and I have to be at a conference for the later part of the week.

I was going to have 3 nights to prep the buggy but came home to a downed server and was at work until 1 last night and will be in here again tonight finishing up leaving me one night to prep the buggy.

The highlight of my weekend was Sunday when Rippy, Happick, Morgan, Paige and I went up to the shooting range and found a bullet proof vest. We shot it with everything we had, Paige blasted it with Rippy's .44 magnum. A few of the rounds punched through, but one didn't. Paige was completely excited when we dug the round out of the kevlar and gave it to her haha.
