It looks like the factory replacement is from Dorman. Is there a better replacement stud out there that doesn't break the bank (aka ARP)?

When have you ever seen someone break wheel studs that had properly torqued lug nuts? Factory is just fine... No reason to drop coin on ARP studs or anything else. Go to Advanced Auto and get wheel studs for $1.50 each.

And while you're there(if you go to the one near Andy's), get the radiator hose I ordered back in January LOL

If I had found them in the length I needed for $1.50 each I would have bought them. The prices I was seeing were $3+ each. Multiply that by 32 and it adds up quick.

I had to buy a couple for my 4runner once and I seem to remember them being $1.50 or something close to that...

I just searched for a 79 F350... $1.99 each

Yeah I guess I wasnt looking for factory replacements. I needed longer studs. Anywho the answer to Dan's question is to just by factory replacements and move along. :D

Link didnt work nor did copy and paste. And I am to lazy to actually look it up right now.

That's it. I bet I have $50 in lug nuts. 9/16" (sorry for the typo) is expensive. I don't need Ford stuff. I need Chevy stuff. I also need longer than factory studs to deal with the thick centers of my wheels. It looks like the rears are okay, but the fronts need to be changed.

To add a little info here:
The OE application for a Chevy D60 front is Dorman 610-283. A very close application is the Dorman 610-303 from a 2003 F350. They're appx 23/32" longer than the original application.
Now to research the rears.

What length stud did you need?

looking at napa's specs on that 03 f350 it has it listed as meteric (78mm) which is about 3.07. My 89 f350 10.25 uses 9/16 x 3 9/32.

The front is supposed to have Dorman 610-283. They're 2 17/32". I think a 3" stud would work. I still need to figure out WTF is going on with the two different size studs in the front now. The PAPA Auto in Laurel is money. I brought home a front hub and rear hub. I'm dragging that shit up there and plopping it on the counter. They said they like a challenge.

The front WAS a dually, which should be Dorman 610-282. It doesn't look anything like that. GD bastardized axles.:dan1:

14 bolt dually lugs weren't all that hard to find and might be the length you were looking for...
