Picked out what seem ideal seats for my need, Corbeau Baja RS - suspenson seats that recline, allowing backseat access. Sweet.

Which way to go?

Vinyl - dosn't soak up water, stains, etc. But gets hot/sticky in the sun.

Cloth - will stain, absorb rain/sweat etc, but not as bad in heat.
Preferences? I was gonna go vinyl until I thought about the hat thing.

I'll go w/ grey either way just to cut down on heat.

(and if anybody knows of a deal to score, let me know!)

I know I'd prefer vinyl to cloth in my rig that is exposed to the elements

I'm kind of thinking vinyl with some snally cloth/spandex covers.

Mine is (still) an enclosed 4Runner, so it's not like they're exposed all the time, just when wheeling in the rain w/ windows down, back sweat (eeeewwww) etc.

The Corbeau's get waterlogged. They take a spray or splash well but once they are soaked from a rainstorm, they stay wet for a bit. The cloth gets wet from the same splash or spray but dries a lot quicker. That's been my experience at least
