.... just realized I never really reported back from the Fall Brawl down in Mt City TN.

Here's a good writeup by Shawn (Saf-t-Scissors on NC4x4)

it was a real blast - trail was 4+ miles, 6 loops.
Of the 8 or so people in my (A) class, only 3 finished... I was 4th...
Roughly similar completion rates for classes B and C.

We were cruisin pretty decently, gotta admit the auto tranny and 4cyl was far less than ideal on the steep uphill bits. However, 1st pass around Deadman's Curve (110 deg downward switchback w/ a steep 200+ ft dropoff on other side - requires stop and 3 point for everybody) we came dangerously close to te hedge, had to anchor winch back on. Caught up decently... then on the 3rd round, end up losing the back end off the edge of the trail trying in prep for avoiding an XJ that was already off and pinned to a tree (can see teh pics in the above link), had to get winched form behind which DQed me.

I got about an hour of driving on video from over-the-shoulder cam, came out pretty decently.

oh, while they were workingon geting me out - dude that owned that green XJ very stuck in fornt of me... sold it to another guy "as-is, where is" for $200 lol.
