For Immediate Release:

Bret and Kaye Keller of Catawissa, PA are proud to announce the formation of Semper Fi Rock Racing. The Team will be competing in the 2010 Rausch Creek King of the Hammers Qualifier (RCQ), all 2010 RCrocs Race Series events, and the 2010 Line Mountain Series.

This family run team competed in the last event of the 2009 RCrocs Series. With the paint still wet, no seat time, and a vehicle that hadn’t run in 2 years the team took a respectable 11th place out of 31 competitors. It was a rough race with an untested vehicle but Bret and Co-Driver, Todd Dunn found ways to keep their buggy, “The Blister” moving and over came adversity.

Both Bret and Kaye are former Marines with an unrelenting hunger for success. The two are no strangers to vehicle prep. As a Platoon Sergeant with 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Bret logged a lot of prep and field time in 29 Palms, CA, near the Johnson Valley. Racing The Blister will be a welcome change to leading forty 30,000lb vehicles over the desert in the dark with Night Vision Goggles. Bret and Kaye have been avid off-roaders for years and have spent many sleepless nights preparing a vehicle for a trip.

Next season will be Kaye’s first entrance as a driver. She’ll be getting some seat time in the Line Mountain Series. She’s anxious for the opportunity and after all the hard work she’s invested in The Blister, frankly she deserves it.

The Blister, like many vehicles in this style of racing was originally built for crawling. In the off season the Kellers have planned modifications to make the vehicle better suited to this style of racing. Their goal is to have the most reliable vehicle on the course, keeping it simple enough to repair nearly anything in a remote area.

R&S Automotive and Custom Fabrication were a great help in 2009 as sponsors. The Kellers are currently seeking sponsors for the 2010 season. If you’re interested please feel free to contact us via PM.

I will be playing it by ear for line mountain. I am doing the whole RCROCS crawling and racing series. Those events and trail riding will take precedence over Line Mountain.

Thank you!

Here are some updated photos. The rig held up to some serious abuse today. We've still got some improvements before RCQ.
