According to the guy I got it from that's what he has been doing with it since late 70's. He was second owner and it has not been driven on the road in like 30 years. I want to lift it skid up the underside and wheel it. Came with a chevy 14 bolt rear and d44 front I want to swap in it. Once I figure out how. Just trying to research it now.

I think he had a bad run. Looks like he shut it down before he even made it halfway.

Yeah this thing is very fast for a jeep. No Speedo so I dont know how fast but it moves. Ill have to bring home a radar unit from work and see.

Its a pretty easy deal to swap full width axles under a small frame like that. I did it on my CJ 5 back in the day and lengthened the wheelbase a good bit. Pretty much make hangers out of 3" box tube and weld to the front of the chassis and use YJ leafs or if you really want to extend the wheelbase in the rear use 57" ford leafs that are offset. If you have the $ get a blue torch fab full width kit and weld it on. IIRC someone had one on the board not to long ago for a wrangler that could prob be grafted onto your jeep.
