Finally an in-house diesel.
What do you all say... Good truck finally gets good motor? Or believe it when i see it?

IMO the 6.4 is a good motor once the emissions junk is removed. I'm thinking you'll have to do the same to the 6.7. DPF suck.

on paper I think it sounds great. I guess we shall see. I am not a big fan of any of the "new" diesels.

Only time will tell. The 6.4s are fine once you yank the emissions sh!t. Anything pre 2007 is a good motor to have. Right now a 12v or a carbed bigblock is looking like a good choice too.
I want to see pics of the double cold side on the VNT style turbo. Sounds really interesting.

scroll down and you'll see what they are talking about. it is fed directly into the front of the wheel, as well as from the side of the turbine wheel.
yeah this motor on paper and in pictures looks like a better choice than the 6.4. the exhaust manifolds are in the valley to eliminate some room in the engine compartment. the intake manifolds are incorporated into the valve covers. they went back to one turbo for this one. and the h/p fuel rails are all pretty much external to try and help any fuel in oil concerns, as well to help in diag. (ie. cummins). all in all I like what I see.
we shall see...
I will be interested to see how it performs. In theory it sounds like it will work well.
