New exhaust dodge ctd

so my exhaust rotted the Fawk out on my 05 ctd! ridiculous if you ask me but what can i do?

i am in the market for new turbo back exhaust system now and wondered if anyone had a place that they would or have ordered an exhaust from (shop or online strore etc) i will install it myself so i don't need and ehaust shop

does anone have any experience with a specific brand, good or bad?

i was thinking mbrp but not sold on it.

any help would be appreciated

so in short, where do i order from, what brand and any experience witha specific brand (install headaches, fit etc)???????

I have the magnaflow stainless on mine. I bought it through eBay. It fit just fine, even for a person with a subnick like mine. You may even try some of the vendors on the ctd boards. Poly performance sells some dizzle stuff too.

I installed MBRP on my '05 three or four years ago and have been extremely pleased. I would buy from AOI or possibly MDMike.

I've got an MBRP also and I have been very happy with it. I cant remember where I bought it, somewhere online. Installed it myself and it was a breeze.

where did it rust out?

reason being is i just checked my supplier and almost all 04.5 and up system are cat back because they come from the factory with a 4" exhaust from turbo to tip.

the 03-04 trucks came with 3.5" before the muffler, and 4" after the muffler I THINK...and for the 03-04 trucks you can buy a full 4" from turbo back.

if you are wanting to replace it all, then you will want to order a turbo back kit for 03-04 truck as it should be the same.

yup i have 4" as you susepected. but thought maybe i should just upgrade to 5" from turbo back? the cost difference i have found hasn't been much from when doing the whole system. mine rotted out at the rear of the muffler and the tailpipe broke off, and the rest of the system is showing evidence of wear/rot

I love my 4" Silverline. You dont need a 5" unless you are going for big power, but they look cool. Loud too. I got mine off ebay for $450 shipped from "oldpartsguy". Came with a tip too.

I have had a 4" turbo back JEGs brand exhaust for 3 years, sounds good and easy install. And it was cheap when i bought it, like 270ish
