I love Crozet. It is different than the other parks because all of the trails are close to the tow trucks. Matt and I ran with Chris and Heather, while Dave led what looked to be Blues and blacks. The red group ran a bunch of trails. Crozet has house sized rocks. Everything was cool except for Chris an Heather repeatedly trying to get me to drive off of cliffs. :chair: I decided against it.

The best part may have been dinner, as Mindy, JT, Stu, and Andi saved me from ordering pizza. Some kinda marinated deer steaks and rice. Thank you so much.

The club has GOT to do a full turn-out run to Crozet. Can I get a witness?

No doubt, Chris and Heather make that place a lot of fun. I wish I could have been there.

The wheeling at Crozet is awesome.

I was whipped on Saturday night; sorry I didn't stay up to party guys.

Wheeling with Heather and Chris is cool because they obviously know the property and each obstacle very well. It's hard to say no to something when you've got a chick(who just ran the obstacle) saying "Come on, don't be a pussy!"

Thanks to the Packards for having us down:cheers:

I had a great time. It's nice being back from 2 days of wheeling and not having a completely broken rig.

The buffet saturday night from everybody chipping in some food was pretty awesome.

Definately a good time except from the hurricane force winds but that's nothing new there. Dinner was delish, that Mindy girl sure can cook. ;) It was my first time out on actual trails in nearly 2 years and I'm pleased to report my jeep still knows what its doing.

Great weekend. Felt good to be back out wheeling after close to a year of not being able to get off on a weekend.

Just wish I didn't break my Jeep, so I didn't have to right seat on Sunday.

Thanks for dinner on Saturday night. Seeing as how I only donated hot dogs, I think I got the better end of the deal.

I got video of JT in Mindy's Jeep that I'll post up once I get it uploaded.

Chris and Heather are just great. That racer he is building is just insane and I hope he doesn't wind up dead.

Wheeling was wet on saturday and very pleasant on sunday.....even in a large three wheel drive jeep.

The drive home from charlotsville was absolutly beautifull.

We were spot on with our timing for the foliage run I would say this year

Looks like a great time.
I cannot wait to make it down there again.
Love it there, but it seems every time there is a trip something conflicts with it.

I also continued my steak of like 40 offroading trips where I had to wrench on something at the park.

Note the hood up on the zj.

I was up there this past weekend, saw a few of you guys around the camp fire Saturday night.

davenjeip, looks like you got some good pictures of the low blues group. Would you mind if I linked to it--nobody in our club got pictures from that group.

I like the title:)

I still have to go back down to try the 24' drop another time. I think the angle is similar to "house" and I shouldn't have any issues, looked pretty stable coming down.

You sure made that look easy. I def think you did much harder stuff in dayton last year.

The drops in Dayton were more sheer then most of the ones at Crozet. We backed down most drops at Dayton to avoid endoing but I think the truck can take vertical drops pretty well forward.

The one HUGE climb and drop course in dayton was definitly a longer drop on about the same angle.

Stuff seems a lot less intimidating on competition days then trailriding. I think a good part of that is I don't want to crash it and wad the chassis up for fun, the work is a bitch to repair it. If it happens in the heat of competition, well I hope some spectators are enjoying the show:cheers:

Do you go down in front wheel drive?

Yes, FWD, I would have preffered to be in 4wd but Packard was suggesting front only.

Since he's run all of these obstacles hundreds of times I heeded his advice and lines all day(even the one that rolled me over)

I'd like to go back down with Pearson or someone where we can try some fawked up lines that maybe the Packards haven't thought of/seen before.
