I need to replace a bent trailer axle. It looks fairly straight forward. Is there anything special I need to know about buying a new axle? I figure I need to know axle width and weight rating. I did find this on how to measure:

Anything else to look out for?
I did this. Place in Hagerstown did it for under $200.

So did you do it? Or did the place in Hagerstown do it?

Brake axle?
Not the one Jack had done. And if Alan's is a brake axle the brake parts should move right over.

You also need to know the spring pad width. When I replaced one it came all ready to bolt in.
