I'm not getting an email that notifies me when a thread I am subscribed to has a response.
Any ideas?

Well if it works for one, I doubt it's the system. Are you sure your profile email is correct? ...receiving other emails at that address?

I'm getting emails from other boards that I use. I get notification from 2 other boards just fine. This just started last week. I was receiving my notifications, but then it just shut off. I'll check my settings again.
Thanks!

You get the email I sent from your profile link?

It's 7:55 a good 10 minutes after you send me email. I have NOT received the email.
I have checked and I have not received the email. Can anyone determine if the board has sent the email? Maybe comcast has blocked this site?!? I have gone through all of my settings and everything seems to be correct. I logged off and logged back in. Nothing seems to work. Is there any other Comcast users on this board?
Thanks for the help!

Mine is working using Gmail. I can test my Comcast account. Give me a minute to change my settings.

I'd say Comcast is the problem. Why I dont know but I had no luck with changing my profile to my Comcast email address. The confirmation email never did show up. Switching back to gmail the confirmation email showed up instantly. Nor could I get an email from gmail to Comcast to go through. I had no issues from Comcast to gmail though.
Edit: Problem appears to be with the board. I got email from gmail to Comcast to work. Nothing from marylandcreepers.com though would go through to Comcast.
Smith Tip.
You ought to consider an ISP neutral eMail provider like Yahoo, hotmail or Gmail. That way you can switch providers without regard to your email.

Thanks for the help, I will consider this in the future. However, I would like to fix what is broken. Could you possibly tell me what the email address is that sends the email notification to my comcast account? I've got Comcast looking into the issue. I will change to my hotmail account to see if it works, but I really want Comcast to fix this problem if it's on them.
Thanks guys!

Make sure e-mail notifications are set up the way you want them in your control panel. I am not certain which ones are turned on by default.
Click 'UserCP' link on the toolbar in the upper left of this page
Under the 'Settings and Options' menu on the left hand side, click 'Edit Options'
In the 'Messaging and Notification' section, select your e-mail options.

Are any of my email notifications bouncing back? Or for that matter, is any Comcast emails bouncing back?
Thanks!

We are not getting any kickbacks at all. Back in August/September we got a few e-mails from your comcast address where you had replied to the e-mail notifications.

Jim,
I sent you a test, one to comcast and one to hotmail. Let me know if you got it.

I got your message on both hotmail and comcast. I also got the email notification on my hotmail account.
Do you want me to point the notification back to comcast?
Thanks!

Jim if it makes you feel any better I havent gotten email notifications of pm's for about a week now. I never changed my settings, and they aren't going into spam. I was just lazy to complain and figured it would work it's self out.

Alan, I think this may be a little bigger than just me. I'm wondering is your provider isn't having issues. Again, according to Comcast they are not getting the notifications. They did however get what I believe is your email to my comcast account from MC. It went though google I believe he said. Since I deleted your email, I didn't have anything to give him to show the routing. That's why Comcast wants to talk to you. But if you think it may be on your side, then a call to comcast won't be necessary.
Thanks Again!

I think that's about when I stopped getting them too. Maybe 10 days ago?

board notifications are not sent out through gmail, they are sent from a program on the server. Smith, did you ever check the spam folder? Jt, who is your email provider?

I have gotten 2 emails from Alan and Cerebus, both from the marylandcreeper.com domain. However, I do not get the emails from webmaster@marylandcreepers.com. I don't know why, unless the notification emails are routed differently than emails coming from admins.
I hope this helps!

Yes, there are no emails in my spam folder. Comcast does not see any emails coming from the marylandcreepers.com domain accept Alan's which came through google.
Thanks guys!!!!!!!

Seems to have been caused by an error in setting up DNS when I setup the new server, which was causing some providers to block email from it. The issue should begin to be resolved shortly.
