I kinda go against the grain here..... I use Valvoline Blue Synthetic Blend.
I have used valvoline in everything I drive, but I did hesitate to use it in the diesel because everyone else uses Rotella. I only use the truck for towing so it sees about 4,000 miles a year I will let you know how it worked in........60 years.:lol:

i used rotella non syn in mine the entire time i had it. synthetic is to damn exspensive for 15 quarts :|

save yourself some money and get your filters from an international dealer.

I use rotella in the 7.3, get it when its on sale at tractor supply for like 24$ for 2.5 gallon.

I have used Rotella in both my 7.3 diesels , the 99 and in the new 02 and had 175,000 miles on the 99 and have 88 on the new 02 , I like the oil and it does a great job for the money .

Ran Rotella on my 7.3, got over 330k on it and sold it. Think it's a good product. Ran it in my TDI, had over 250k on that one.
