ECORS – East Coast Off-road Racing Series will be hosting their first event at Callalantee Trails in Mountain City, TN on October 10, 2009.

The race will be run as an ENDURO (Baja) style event where the racers will have staggered start times and up to 2 hours of RACING!!

There will also be a Rock Crawling competition on Saturday evening on the notorious PULL CABLE trail! Cash, prizes and trophies will also be given to the WINNER!!

ECORS is a traveling race series and during 2010, it will be hosting 4 to 6 races at various OHV destinations in the South East.

Currently they are planning on racing in Morganton, NC, Harlan, KY, WV, SC (undisclosed location) and then eastern NC in the fall of 2010. The races will be every other month starting in Feb/March.

For those that are interested, one of the racers is coordinating a VIP Race Rig giveaway!! Dylan has put together some similar packages for other local races and it is always a sweet deal for the winner!!

In this case, you will be sponsoring the Race Rig (your name will be on the rig!!) for $10.

The lucky sponsor will be receiving an ECORS membership for 2009/2010, entry fees paid for ALL those races, and a race ready Jeep Cherokee!!

ECORS is hosting the details for Dylan instead of him trying to do his own website, here is the link.

From what I can gather, the event 10/10 will be fairly similar to the RCRocs race this past weekend, with the main difference being that the trails are more driveable by stocker-type rigs. E.g. either it will not be big rocks or they will have bypasse set up for the lower classes. But the Callalantee trails are known to be pretty gnarly.

3 classes, A-C, based on "builtness" lol from 31" stockers to full-on buggies.
This means you can bring your TJ on 33s or XJ on 35s...!

I will be driving a relatively stock (IFS) 4Runner, locked on 33s in A class. (and I'm looking for co-drivers/crew etc...).

Well one of the sponsors (local Snap-On guy) has just upped the ante, if A class gets up to 15 racers, 1st place gets a 3/8" cordless impact, and comparable 2nd and 3rd place...

right now they're really low on the buggy (c) class but have garanteed prizes/places regardless of entrants, seems like just shooting to finish at all would yield a spot.
