How are the steel beams secured to the wooden posts?
What do you have the main beam attached to in the rear? It looks like it is floating magically in the air.

Whatever works, right?
I'd have to turn around and drive past your house twice if I saw that from the road
I am showing this to my neighbors. They need to know it could be a LOT worse.

rear of the beam is on the header of the garage.
at the moment its just resting on the posts, still working out how to attach the beam to them. posts go down 3' and are encased in concrete. After we get it all attached together, we are going to clean it up a bit. probably get some ivy or something to grow up the front posts. Also going to run air/power out to the front. We have a trolley that fits on the I-beam as well that we picked up for $25 at a yard sale.
we didn't leave the truck hanging there for long. just enough to get the trailer out and the rear axle under it

looks like something i would dream up at the bar, and loose faith in my actual completion of such a project, due to the voice of reason. glad you can tone those kinda people out.
and is that a centurion?

Yea, she doesn't live here anymore
And it is a centurion. I was going to drop a 7.3 power stroke with a 5-speed into it, but upon further inspection of the truck, I may not continue with it.

The body does not look bad. I have always thought they were badass. I picture it with 35's and the top off.

yea the front half is in pretty nice shape actually. The problem is where the rear bronco portion was attached to the back of the cab. Centurion did not prep the metal underneath worth a fuck so its all rotted out from under the fiberglass back half.
I think my next plan is to scrap out the body. Take my powerstroke and drop it into this frame, throw a 60 under the front so its moveable, then look around for something like say, a 78/79 ford extended cab and shorten the bed to match the wheelbase I have now (~141")
I found a 60/10.25 in NJ for $350 I'm going to try and get this weekend.

The crewcab short bed has been done. No one has the crewcab Bronco....

not a crew cab, just an extended cab.

(just a pic I grabbed off google)
I'm still on the fence. I may see about pulling the bronco back half off this weekend and seeing just how bad it is first.

I've always been a fan of the Centurion's too. You should see if you can't bring it back to life!! It would kick ass with the 7.3 in there.

I do like the crew/extended cab short bed anything but, Trucks is building one that is similar to what you are proposing. That just proves it is gay.:flipoff2:
Crew cab bronco could be the 2010 hotness.

I have always liked that body style Ford. That with a 12V Cummins would be tits.

Not nearly as bad as I figured. just a standard cab corner/b-pillar setup. And my psd donor truck happens to be rust free. excellent.

wtf is Fords fascination with this insulation crap??

As you can see, the rear quarter panel is all one solid piece of fiberglass. and it came off in almost perfect condition except where it was broken inside the tail gate area.
here is my powerstroke donor btw. A tree fell on it while he was driving
