I have an appointment for Thursday to get my wrangler inspected. The hook that holds the hood prop/stick thing up when you close the hood is missing. I went to AZ and that was a waste of time. I even tried stopping at the dealer in Edgewood which I will never go back to because of how rude the parts guy was. But anyway... If you know what its called it would really help me out when I call around looking for whatever it is.
Thanks

take off the hood prop. its not needed when you can lay the hood back against the windshield.

It is called a "hood prop retaining clip". I have seen it in the help section at Advance Auto or Pep Boys, I cant remember which.
It is NOT required to pass Maryland State Inspection. If they fail you for that tell them to shove it up their a$$.:flipoff2:

Even though i didn't need it, I ordered it from Thompson in Dundulk. Knowing my luck it would have got caught up on something and I would have ended up with stitches.... Just a little note, When I was leaving the dealer in Edgewood an older guy asked me for my #. I thought the guy was gonna ask me out or something but I gave it to him anyway (He worked in the service dept... imagine the deals I could have gotten..) But anyway I ended up getting 2 phone calls yesterday. One from the parts department manager and another from the general manager?. Apparently a couple people heard/saw what had happened when I was there. They both were very apologetic and eager to do whatever it took to make sure i was comfortable buying from them in the future. Just thought I would share.....
