I have a starting problem when hot.

Starts fine when cold.long crank times when hot with a few tries.

PowerstrokeNation.com I know the 7.3 guys there are really helpful I assume the 6.0 guys are the same.

my 05' did the same thing- it was an o ring in a fitting behind the turbo. It is a oil pressure problem- I forget the pressures but something like 3500 psi for the injectors to open-they run off of oil pressure and the slightest leak makes it hard for the pressure to build up especially when oil is hot.Does it seem to crank too long when it does start??

If he doesn't chime in soon, shoot "Hey...Hey" a PM. He works on these trucks every day at Crouse Ford and knows his stuff.

yeah...yeah...I'm here. sounds like the stc fitting or h/p plug d-rings. 06 was a bad year for h/p plug d-rings for some reason. and 05-07 all had problems with the stc fittings. that my two lincolns.

good luck

yeah, you guys should have read my write up for shane a couple of months ago. it might still be around. it had to do with shane selling or buying a ford or something like that. I wrote the plusses and minuses of the 6.0 from 03-07.

oh well. good luck.

p.s. if you need any work done, I am just a pm away.

after looking through the site, it looks like it got "destroyed" in the switch over. come to think of it, it was a topic about someone having a problem with another 6.0, and needing some advice. I went on to write up an "extensive" detail on the faults and fixes.

anyways...good luck.

Both my 06 fords had the same problem and had to go in for repairs. As long as its under 100k then its under warranty with the $100 deductible. Also plan on the truck being in the shop for 2 to 3 days.
